Kayla Palacios Headshot 2024
Kayla Palacios

We are excited to announce that Better Together has promoted Kayla Palacios to Vice President of Operations.

In her new role, Kayla is responsible for the operational aspects of our programs. She will lead our operational strategy and scale our family and work programs for increased impact as Better Together expands throughout the state of Florida. As a key member of the executive team, Kayla will recruit and retain new talent and drive a results-oriented culture. She has been a valuable leader as we expand our team, and her partnerships with key departments, like marketing, finance and development, have nurtured deep respect among team members.

An assistant principal with 12 years of experience in education and working with families, Kayla joined Better Together in September 2022 as executive director of our North Central Florida region. This area includes Ocala and Marion County. In the schools, Kayla worked closely with children who had experienced trauma as their families struggled. When CEO Megan Rose spoke at Kayla’s church about the organization’s impact, she knew she needed to be a part of the mission.

A year into her tenure with Better Together, Kayla moved into the Florida Operations Officer role, where she led our programs, motivated and supported team members, and supported partnerships with the state, our donors and community board members.

“Kayla has been an invaluable asset to our team. Her passion for our work and her dedication to serving and supporting our team members have been truly inspiring,” CEO Megan Rose says. “She has brought immense value to our organization and is truly deserving of this promotion. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the continued impact she will have on the lives of Florida families.”

Kayla has also served on the worship and kids’ ministry teams in her local church and engages in ministry serving children in the foster care system, residents in a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, and people who are in need of free dental, optical and medical care through an organization in the local community.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American studies and a master’s degree in educational leadership, both from the University of Florida. She is currently working on her doctorate in education in Christian leadership from Liberty University.

Kayla’s devotion to families shows in her work every day, and the team is excited to have her leading the way as we expand across the state.
