Why Better Together?

We were the driving force that passed the Strong Families Tax Credit. Better Together’s work inspired the legislation, and after lawmakers learned about our unrivaled results with families, it passed with bipartisan support.
Florida has one of the largest foster care systems in the country and most children enter it due to preventable neglect, not physical abuse.
We catch these families before they fall. Nearly all (98%) of the families we serve have no further involvement with child services.
Our programs identify the root causes of a family’s struggle and provide them with the support and services they need to be successful long term.
Studies have shown that Florida counties see a decrease in the need for foster care after we launch our programs in the area.
We are 100% privately funded and 91% of our funding goes directly into programs, not overhead.
