Tabitha gave birth to twins Dawson and Dominick on March 16.
Upon discharge, Tabitha’s husband, Douglas, took her and the healthy boys home.
But soon after, Tabitha began experiencing physical complications. Douglas took her to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she was admitted.

In the days that followed, Douglas cared for the twins and brought them to see Tabitha. Though Douglas was providing excellent care, he realized that he needed a little help—so he could be by Tabitha’s side a little more.
During a visit, a hospital social worker told Douglas and Tabitha about Better Together.
Douglas reached out.
Team members Olivia Garris, Jessica Braemer, and Jennifer Kaplon lept into action. They connected Tabitha and Douglas with Luke and Anne Stockeland, one of our host families, who volunteered to provide short-term care for the boys.
This past Tuesday night, Luke and Anne went to the hospital. They talked and prayed with Tabitha and Douglas. They promised to give their all to Dawson and Dominick until Tabitha recovers.
As Luke and Anne care for the twins, they’re regularly sharing pictures and videos of Dawson and Dominick with Tabitha and Douglas. Our team also continues to support and pray for both families.
