When Liz donated her late mother’s car through Better Together, she expected to give away a vehicle. It was so much more. The vehicle donation helped a hardworking mom keep her job, care for her children and move forward with hope.

Liz: Knowing that this helped this mom, she was not able to go to work without getting a ride. She had a couple of young kids to take care of, and so this helped her out immensely. And it was just a special thing to be able to do.
My name is Liz, and my husband’s name is Scott. And a few months ago, my 90-year-old mother fell, and she has a car that we just needed to get rid of. It was very old, so I was looking to donate it.
So I was in my mind thinking about where I could do that, and Better Together just popped in my mind. And I remember the gal that I talked to, and she said, “If you need anything, just call me.” And so I called her, and she immediately got back and had some ideas, and then she said, “Wait, I know a mom who could really use a car. Would you like to connect with her?” And I said, “Sure. Let’s see if we can make this work.”
And we delivered my mom’s car to this very grateful, happy young mom, and we were very blessed to be able to do that and help her, and everything just went really smoothly and quickly.
I hope it just means that she knows God loves her, and that she can, you know, trust Him with all of her needs because she was really in a hard spot, and she just had this bright smile on her face.
