Children flew up, down, and side to side in a bounce house recently outside Heart of Mercy Community Church in Orlando.
Joy fell out of the children’s pockets with every leap, and their laughter soared through the bounce house’s netted windows, joining Christian hip-hop music surfing the sunny breeze along Mercy Drive.
Under a nearby pop-up tent, Heart of Mercy’s pastor, William Andrews, laughed with parents, served hot dogs and hamburgers to everyone, and thanked God for the good time being had by all.
Heart of Mercy and Better Together organized the outreach event for the families of the Pine Hills community and its surrounding area — the first of our summer outreach events for families. The event featured games, sports activities, and arts and crafts.
Discovery Church’s men’s club and resource department helped fund the event. Calvary Chapel Orlando and Mosaic Church also donated toys and gifts for raffles.
