Stepping it up: Matching gift challenges others to give

A generous anonymous donor is challenging the community to throw support behind Better Together by pledging to match up to $100,000 in donations through the rest of 2022.

That means for every dollar you give, it’s like giving $2. Your $25 donation can result in two Hope Packs filled with essentials for kids. $250 means two host families can be screened and backgrounds checked. $1,200, what it costs us to serve one child, turns into keeping not just one child out of foster care but two.

To date, Better Together has served more than 4,000 children and kept 98% out of the state system. We serve families in 15 counties. Our jobs program, important for helping families find work, has helped nearly 34,000 job seekers across 21 states find employment.

“Donations are critical to helping our organization reach more families and will help us meet our purposeful goal of serving all of Florida in the next five years,” said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. “We’re honored to have someone who believes so strongly in our mission to step up with this $100,000 match to inspire the community’s generosity through the end of the year.”
