This year, more than ever, I am reminded how togetherness fuels the human spirit.
Because of you, children are waking up on Christmas at home with their families, not in foster care. Families who lost so much during the hurricane have roofs over their heads, food on the table, and Christmas trees with presents underneath.
Some of the greatest blessings this year couldn’t be wrapped up and tied with a bow. Parents were given friendship, second chances, and jobs. People received unexpected knocks at their doors from caring neighbors when it felt like hope was lost. Families will go to their first Christmas service as a family, encouraged by the volunteers they’ve met along their path.
You can’t buy these gifts at a store. You can only give them by opening your heart.
