Chrniyah and Janiyah don’t know why the earth turns around the sun. They don’t know how eagles soar in petal skies. They don’t know why winter gives way to spring.
They do know they’re loved.
In April, their mother, Shanae, facing sleeping on the streets of Fort Myers, loved them so much that she courageously called Better Together for help.
Isaac and Abby Fuller, a Better Together host family, opened their home and hearts to the 5-year-old twins.
For three months, Abby, Isaac and their kids nurtured the girls. They enrolled them in school, taught them to swim and took them on summer vacation. They sacrificed for the girls, kept them safe and loved them unconditionally.
On Tuesday, Chrniyah and Janiyah were reunited with Shanae and their godparents. Moments of joy rose to the clouds.
Now working, Shanae will continue to search for affordable housing while the girls stay with their godparents. She is grateful for Abby and Isaac.
She knows their kindness helped keep her girls out of foster care.
Twirling carefree in bubbles and wrapped in hugs, Chrniyah and Janiyah know it too.
