Hurricane Relief Social Media Toolkit
The church serves a vital role in times of crisis, helping our neighbors through prayer and support, and we’re hoping you will share how your congregation can be the hands and feet of Christ through Better Together.
We’re organizing teams of volunteers to go door-to-door in areas impacted by this season’s hurricanes to provide essentials to families in need and connect with those who might need further support.
The following social media elements were created to help you share this work, how your congregation can get involved, and the mission of Better Together. Please feel free to use the sample posts as is or edit to suit your needs.

Example 1
Our partner Better Together is organizing groups of volunteers to gather and distribute supplies and assess the long-term needs of families impacted by this hurricane season.
Better Together is a nonprofit that helps families weather life’s storms — a medical emergency, homelessness, addiction, isolation. A hurricane is yet another crisis.
To help Florida families, Better Together needs more volunteers, as boots on the ground delivering supplies, as host families, as mentors, as job coaches, and monetary donations are needed to help meet needs as well.

Example 3
Help us help families impacted by the storms.
We’re partnering with Better Together to bring hurricane relief to families affected by Helene and Milton. The nonprofit needs volunteers to help gather and distribute supplies, such as tarps, diapers, plastic containers, kids shoes, and first-aid kits. Beyond supplies, the outreach helps assess families’ long-term needs and connects them to resources, helping families grow stronger than before the storm.
If you can spare a little time or offer funding, we encourage you to do so. It’s an impactful way to love our neighbors.
