Better Together’s first-ever golf tournament raised more than $16,000 to help families overcome obstacles and thrive.

Blue skies, a light wind, and a beautiful green stretched to the horizon set an ideal backdrop for The World Famous Cigar Bar Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday, October 27 at Stoneybrook Golf Course in Estero. After 18 holes and lunch, the fundraiser continued with an after-party at The World Famous Cigar Bar.

Among the golfers were long-time supporters, those new to the Better Together mission, and one of our wonderful volunteer host families.

While the tournament is a friendly competition, we did keep score… Placing in the Top 3 were:

  • First place: Kevin Casebolt, Kai Casebolt, Don Light, and Aaron Light
  • Second place: Collier County Sheriff’s Office Team of Christian Gempsaw, Eddie Strazerri, Jesse Green, Thomas Wedlock
  • Third place: Todd Baker, John Clark, Jeff Perbix, Bobby Sarver

We are so grateful for everyone who helped make this fundraiser possible and for every golfer who took a swing to help families through Better Together programs. Your participation made a tremendous impact.

The tournament raised $16,275, which will directly benefit our mission to build strong families and communities, ultimately keeping children out of foster care. With the funds raised, we’ll be able to provide vital support to families in crisis, helping them overcome life’s toughest challenges, from homelessness and addiction to medical crises and job loss. Together, we are empowering families with the hope, resources, and stability they need to build brighter futures.

While all our supporters play a vital role in the success of our mission, we would like to take a moment to recognize the following sponsors who made this event possible:

  • Boveda
  • Baker Petroleum & Investments
  • La Palina
  • Coolair Conditioning and Heating
  • Simplified Technologies
  • Realty One Group MVP
