On Giving Tuesday – November 28 – you have the opportunity to make a real kingdom impact in the lives of vulnerable children. By partnering with us, your church can bring awareness to the greatest needs in our community and the solutions that Better Together offers. Giving Tuesday is an annual event, focused on giving back with “radical generosity.” Everyone has something to give, and every act of generosity counts.
This year, our church is focusing on giving back with Better Together.
Children are at the heart of this organization. When families are going through a difficult time, Better Together keeps children out of foster care while helping parents find work and address the root causes of their struggle so they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive.
First, Better Together’s volunteer host families welcome children into their homes temporarily, while the parents work with a mentor to get back on their feet. To date, the program has served over 9,000 children, and more than 98% of kids served through hosting and mentoring have stayed out of foster care.
Additionally, Better Together partners with churches to address the 76% of families who can trace their crisis to job loss. Through local church partners, the program provides supportive job fairs and job coaching.
By supporting Better Together on Giving Tuesday, our church has the opportunity to make a real kingdom impact in the lives of vulnerable children.
You can donate to Better Together to help host families with costs such as food, diapers and clothing. And you can volunteer as a host family, a mentor for the parents, or at a job fair.

ABOUT GIVING TUESDAY

ABOUT BETTER TOGETHER

Better Together is a nonprofit organization that helps parents who are going through a difficult time keep their children out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. The organization is privately funded, volunteer-driven and professionally supported. In the Better Families program, host families are available to care for children in their home while the parents work with a mentor to get back on their feet. To date, the program has served over 9,000 children. Over 98% of children served through mentoring and hosting have stayed out of foster care. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families who can trace their crisis to job loss. Through local church partners, the program provides supportive job fairs and job coaching.
