Better Luncheon — Bradenton

March 19 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Gail Sullivan holds up her books

Gail A. Sullivan, author of “The Red Shoe Project: A Woman’s Search for More of God,” will speak at this week’s parents luncheon.

Parenting is tough business. No matter how wonderful and functional our upbringing, we all have questions, struggles and concerns when raising our children. To help parents along their journey, Better Together organizes a luncheon each month to bring parents together for community, to support each other and to hear from experts while their children play supervised in another room.

This week’s speaker, Gail wore red shoes for an entire year as a way to get closer to God. She figured that every time she caught a glimpse of her red shoes, they would remind her of her relationship with him. What transpired transformed her faith.

Gail chronicled her journey in a blog and writes about it in her book, “The Red Shoe Project.”

At the luncheon, Gail will discuss practical application for capturing memories, emotions, moments in life and seeing our faith come alive as we walk out our parenthood and lives as moms, dads and families with busy schedules. Better Together will also share resources for G.R.I.P., or God Raising Incredible Parents, classes.

There is no cost thanks to our sponsors, and lunch is included.
