Welcoming Two New Board Members

Better Together is proud to announce that E. Lee Wyatt Jr., former Executive Vice-President of Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc. and Doug Campbell, a retired executive in the oil and chemical industry, have joined our Board of Directors.

Mr. Campbell has been our supporter and advocate since the beginning; he dedicates all of his time and resources to improving the lives of children, and he has been one of our organization’s most ardent champions. We are honored to welcome him to our board, an appointment he is excited to accept.

“Better Together is the real, voluntary system of child neglect prevention and family preservation. Better Together is a success long sought by child advocates and those who dedicate their working lives to helping those in need, especially those seeking to help themselves.” – Doug Campbell

Mr. Wyatt recently moved to Southwest Florida, and is eager to serve his new community. He brings four decades of experience in finance and organizational leadership, which will serve well our growing organization.

I am excited to join this board and to support Megan Rose’s leadership. In such a short time, she has done a tremendous job leading this organization and spreading her contagious passion. I am impressed by Better Work and its scalable answer to the gap which otherwise exists for American churches; while many can assist with budgeting or emergency financial assistance, very few are ready to help families earn a regular income. Better Families is also a well-organized use of church and volunteer partners who come together to strengthen families and very successfully keep children out of foster care. It will be a pleasure to be a part of this great work, in the days ahead.” – Lee Wyatt

We are excited by these new additions, and the fresh energy and ideas they will bring to our board and our mission.
