Estero, Florida: Nearly 200 guests attended the first-annual “Night of A Million Dreams” Gala at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. Attendees collectively raised $204,000 to support the continued work of Better Together, a local non-profit that strengthens families through work and relationships and help keeps children out of the foster care system.

“The Southwest Florida community showed this week they have a generous and caring heart for families in need. I was amazed to see so many young families in the room give so generously to the community they love. We had a wonderful group of supporters, the room was filled with joy, it exceeded our wildest expectations. We’re grateful to everyone that helped make the night so special.”  - Megan Rose, CEO”

The Million Dreams Gala introduced guests to inspiring first-hand stories of lives changed by the Better Families and Better Work programs in Southwest Florida. Additionally, attendees enjoyed awe-inspiring circus entertainment, and performances from the up-and-coming vocal artist, Loren Allred, who sang ballads from the Oscar-nominated film “The Greatest Showman,” after which the evening was themed. NBC2’s Rachel Pierce and ABC7’s Annie Hubbell emceed the celebration.

“The outpouring of support for “families helping families” to support Better Together was phenomenal! Not only was it a great party, the enthusiasm of the very diverse crowd for Better Together’s non-government-funded volunteers supporting families working their way through crises, was overwhelming.” – Doug Campbell, Local Child Advocate and Philanthropist.

The funds raised at this year’s Gala will directly support Better Together’s programs that walk, on a daily basis, hand-in-hand with the community’s neediest families. Children will experience love and comfort, parents will find confidence and support, and families will discover new futures thanks to the generosity exhibited at the “Night of A Million Dreams” Gala.
