Estero, Florida: Loren Allred, the singing voice behind the legendary Jenny Lind in the hit movie “The Greatest Showman,” is using her impressive vocals to help raise awareness and funds to support the great work of the SWFL non-profit, Better Together. Better Together has been in operation since 2015 and their work has helped over 1,500 vulnerable children and over 5,000 families in SWFL.

“Better Together exists as an alternative to the overwhelmed and overburdened foster care system. We work to mobilize the faith community to care for the most vulnerable children within our community when their parents are in crisis. We offer parents a safe place for their children to land while they work through a difficult season. Whether it’s homelessness, substance abuse or a medical emergency, our volunteers are ready to step in and offer their support. We strive to strengthen families and keep children safe by empowering adults to reach their full potential through relational support and dignifying work opportunities.” Megan Rose, CEO

The Gala is made possible through a city-wide collaboration of sponsoring agencies, which include Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, IBERIABANK, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, City Furniture, Deangelis Diamond, J. Miller Insurance Group, Driftwood Garden Center, Diamond District, Hollie T. Photography and Tax Savers. NBC2’s Rachel Pierce and ABC7’s Annie Hubbell will emcee the evening event.

The Million Dreams Gala will be a chance for Southwest Florida families to witness, and play a part in, life-changing work in their backyard. To directly join a movement that’s successfully combating big issues in our community, such as poverty and Child Abuse.

Individuals interested in attending, as well as companies looking to become a corporate sponsor, can learn more at https://dreamsgala.org/.
